As an Account Director on our Client Services Team, you’ll lead both clients and teams, overseeing strategic direction, account growth, and the overall success of your client portfolio.
You’ll be the driving force behind strong client relationships and high-performing teams, ensuring every campaign is grounded in insight, executed with excellence, and delivered with measurable results. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives on solving complex challenges, mentoring others, and inspiring creative and strategic excellence.
What You’ll Do
Oversee the strategic direction, performance, and profitability of a portfolio of clients, ensuring budgets, billings, and gross profit targets are met or exceeded.
Lead account teams in delivering outstanding client experiences, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with client objectives.
Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to clients, developing deep knowledge of their business, industry, products, and customers.
Identify and pursue new opportunities within existing accounts, as well as support new business development and service expansion for Flint Group.
Establish and maintain effective structures and workflows for client projects of all sizes and complexities, ensuring teams operate efficiently and collaboratively.
Guide the growth and professional development of account team members through mentoring, performance feedback, and skill-building opportunities.
Manage all aspects of team operations including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
Lead by example to foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative work environment rooted in Flint’s core values.
Serve as final approver for all deliverables, ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance and brand consistency.
Oversee billing, forecasting, and profitability across assigned accounts and ensure accurate reporting of client financials.
Resolve personnel or client challenges effectively and constructively to maintain team harmony and client satisfaction.
Represent Flint Group within the community and industry, building relationships that strengthen both our clients’ success and our agency’s reputation.
What You Bring
8+ years in account management, client leadership, or marketing strategy, with at least 2 years within an agency setting.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to lead accounts strategically, guiding both clients and teams toward measurable growth and success.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven experience fostering long-term, trust-based relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams.
Deep understanding of business operations, financial management, and marketing performance metrics.
Ability to translate complex challenges into clear strategies and inspire teams to deliver innovative solutions.
Strong skills in process development, resource management, and workflow optimization.
Passion for developing talent, guiding, motivating, and empowering team members at every level.
