Our partner Prime is seeking an experienced Market Researcher to develop strategic recommendations and plans for qualitative and quantitative research studies.  These studies are typically created in partnership with clients and span a wide array of topics from brand awareness and association, message testing, marketing campaign interaction and effectiveness, public issues and support, voice of customer, customer experience, etc.  Serious applicants must have a background in developing, executing and creating insight from qualitative and quantitative research. Candidates should also be flexible and curious. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative atmosphere and enjoys experimenting with different working styles, research methods, and technologies. This person will be responsible for research design and execution of all aspects of the process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead in the planning and design of qualitative and quantitative research studies including deployment approach, interview development, survey writing, creation and testing, screening, recruiting, and developing field instruments.
  • Conduct fieldwork in a variety of locations, both in Canada and the US utilizing an array of qualitative and quantitative techniques and best practices.
  • Capture fieldwork data using video and audio recording equipment.
  • Code, and analyze qualitative research data to identify patterns and build insights.
  • Develop research presentations and reports utilizing a variety of narrative and visual storytelling techniques.
  • Presentation skills using multimedia – experience and ability, employing a variety of visual styles that convey to clients the richness of user stories, behavior and experience.

Essential skills, knowledge and abilities

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in a research-related field such as Anthropology, Psychology, Sociology, or Communications.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience planning and practicing research in-fieldExcellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience gathering qualitative data and writing research reports and presentations from that data.
  • Proven ability to be a vital, active member of a team within a flexible and collaborative environment.

Preferred skills, knowledge and abilities:

  • Familiarity with multimedia in data collection and in the creation of presentations.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering well-organized presentations that clearly and consisely convey research findings and that meet the objectives of the study.
  • Ability to stand in front of group of executives and present in a way that is clear and easy to understand while giving actionable advice.
